This is a song I composed that was inspired by a short story that a friend of mine wrote. It was composed in the ancient Lydian Greek Mode of music which relates to the story.
It was a simple, one take recording, but despite mixing errors I like the “ancient” feel that the music gives.

This song was tossing around in my brain for a while and last night I just went ahead and recorded it. Much of it needs to be re-taken, but for a one take song, I think it came out okay.
It’s a pretty song about hope and hopefulness.

This was my first complete song that I composed, and it is definitely one of my favorites.
It is named Starfield Mist after two walks I took that sparked this song which, to a greater extent, sparked my interest and curiosity in musical composition. As with most of my song titles, the name is really just metonymy for the actual song. I like to take moments or stories and express them musically, which is what most of my music is.

I started and finished (tentatively) composing this song last night. It’s a rough recording, so please excuse miscellaneous melodic and rhythmic errors.
I’m not sure if I should finish this one…
Thoughts?

This is a song I composed a while ago. I like the melody in the first two sections, but I’m not very keen on the 4th section melody. I’m not sure if I’m doing the key change modulations wrong….

This is a song I composed about a really awesome coat that a friend of mine has. Yup.
I want to extend it into a full-length instrumental, but I’m short on ideas for where to go with it. ::shrug::

This is a little doodle I composed on the piano today. I’d extend it, but it seems a little too “Seasonal” (aka, Christmas-song-like) for this time of year.
Critiques, comments, and fire-breathing dragons are, as always, appreciated.
